The series is based on Elin Hilderbrand’s bestselling novel of the same name and follows food blogger Hollis Shaw (played by Garner) as she hosts a weekend getaway for friends at her Nantucket home following a personal tragedy. If you’ve read the book or seen the photos, you know this reunion is a big deal!
Production on The Five-Star Weekend started filming in September, and Jennifer shared some sneak peeks of their time together on Instagram on October 1st. From cozy dinners to strolls down Nantucket’s picturesque streets, it looks like they’re having a blast! And let’s not forget the epic cast: Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, Gemma Chan, D’Arcy Carden, Harlow Jane, Timothy Olyphant, David Denman, Josh Hamilton, Rob Huebel, West Duchovny, and Tory Devon Smith.
But here’s the best part: Jennifer and Judy’s friendship goes way beyond the set! They first met on the 2004 comedy 13 Going on 30, but their bond has only grown stronger over the years. At Jennifer’s Walk of Fame ceremony in 2018, Judy was one of the speakers and shared some major feels about their friendship. She even called 13 Going on 30 the “best job” of her life!
