But don’t worry, Area-isms are still very much present. Crystal hoop earrings, shoelace earrings, up-to-there skirts in denim and taffeta – it’s all there. But Aburn is also embracing the low-key side of Area with pieces like an upside-down slip dress, a relaxed black tuxedo skirt, and a navy satin hoodie.

These final pieces were inspired by pure imagination and classic New York happenstance. Aburn saw a wedding by their studio and thought, “Man, confetti makes you happy. You look at confetti and you feel happy.” And that’s exactly what he wanted – to make us feel happy and excited about fashion again.
