Hey, girl! You know when a new season rolls around, it’s like hitting the reset button. And for Dior, that means a fresh start in more ways than one! Their spring collection marks the debut of Creative Director Jonathan Anderson’s first womenswear collection, inspired by Dior legends (Galliano, Yves Saint Laurent, oh my!) with a touch of his signature whimsical vibes.

Here’s the deal: Dior’s new designer means a change in their runway beauty looks, and Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director of Christian Dior Makeup, is beyond excited about it! After meeting up with Anderson, they started brainstorming makeup looks that were natural yet impactful. With the show’s harsh concept (think: pyramid, video collage, horror movie vibes) in mind, they wanted to avoid anything too dramatic. As Philips put it, “If a red lipstick doesn’t make the look cool, it also means that the look makes the red lipstick uncool.”

So, what did they come up with? A fresh-faced complexion with “blossoming blush”! Philips started by prepping the skin with Dior’s Capture Totale Serum and Moisturizer, then applied the Forever Skin Glow Foundation in thin layers. He concealed any blemishes using the Forever Skin Correct Concealer and added a veil of color to the cheeks with the Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush Stick in Rosewood or Berry, blending it with the foundation for a natural glow.

The eyes were kept simple with curled lashes and the darkest shade from the Diorshow 5 Couleurs Palette in Poncho applied to the roots of the lashes. On the lips, Philips dabbed a bit of Dior Addict Lip Glow Butter in Toffee for plump, hydrated pouts.

💫 Winter is done, let’s wait for the flowers to bloom.

As the video ended and the show began, it was like turning over a new leaf. According to Philips, “It’s spring. Winter is done, let’s wait for the flowers to bloom.” And with Dior’s fresh, natural makeup look, you’ll be blooming right along with them!
